He Can” or “He Will”

(Ephesians 5:17)

“Wherefore be ye (you) not unwise, BUT UNDERSTANDING WHAT THE WILL OF THE LORD IS.” (Mark 1:40) “And Jesus moved with “compassion,” put forth His hand, and touched him, and saying unto him, I will; be thou clean.” (v: 41)

WE MUST RID OURSELVES FROM THE DEVIL’S “IF.” It does not take many people to touch Heaven. ONE PERSON AND GOD ARE MORE THAN A MATCH FOR THE DEVIL!! GOD AND YOU ARE A MAJORITY! Friend do not be discouraged by the sickness that lingers. DISCOURAGEMENT (BY DEFINITION) IS A GLOOMY AND DEJECTED FRAME OF MIND THAT COMES WHEN ONE FEELS DEPRIVED OF HOPE AND CONFIDENCE. Discouragement, if we nurture it and feed it, CAN GROW INTO DISPAIR.

IT IS SAFE TO SAY AT SOME TIME OR ANOTHER, ALL OF US HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH SOME DEGREE OF DISCOURAGEMENT. There is victory over it! THE 42^ND PSALM WAS WRITTEN TO ENCOURAGE US TO HOPE IN GOD – TO REMEMBER GOD’S GOODNESS, to think of His faithfulness, and TO SIMPLY TRUST HIM FOR YOUR FUTURE!

JOSEPH KNEW THE CURE FOR DISCOURAGEMENT. He knew ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD. Potiphar’s wife had him unjustly locked up in prison. His brothers sold him into slavery in Egypt. JOSEPH TOLD HIS BROTHERS, WHEN THEY FEARED FOR THEIR LIVES, “Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither; for God did send me before you to preserve life.” (Genesis 45:5) HE SAID, “YE SOLD ME, BUT GOD SENT ME.”

God is perfect in love. GOD IN HIS LOVE ALWAYS WILLS WHAT IS BEST FOR US! You don’t have any problems that faith in God can’t cure! FAITH BEGINS AT THE KNOWN WILL OF GOD. BEFORE WE PRAY WE MUST SETTLE IT IN OUR MINDS THAT GOD WILLS TO HEAL US! There are COMMON EXPRESSIONS we hear; IF IT IS GOD’S WILL to heal me I want to be healed.” “Lord, heal me IF HEALING IS FOR ME.” “I know He will heal me, IF IT IS HIS WILL.” HOW CAN WE KNOW WHAT HIS WILL IS? He commands us to know His will. “Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians 5:17)

A LEPER CAME TO JESUS WITH THE SAME EXCUSE IN HIS PRAYER. He said, “LORD IF THOU WILL, THOU CANST MAKE ME CLEAN.” (Mark 1:40) “And Jesus moved with compassion, put forth His hand, and touched him, and saying unto him, I WILL; BE THOU CLEAN.” (v:41)

THE IDEA IN THE ORIGINAL GREEK IS EVEN STRONGER! The leper’s words are, “If thou willest it.” JESUS ANSWERS, “I do will it …” THIS OUGHT TO SETTLE OUR MINDS, ONCE AND FOR ALL, THAT IT IS THE LORD’S WILL TO HEAL US. GOD IS NO RESPECTOR OF PERSONS! Read I Peter 1:17. JESUS IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, AND TODAY, AND FOREVER.” (Heb. 13:8)

MANY PRAY TODAY THE SAME WAY AS THE LEPER. They are quick to say, THAT THEY BELIEVE THE LORD CAN, or HE IS ABLE, if He is willing. JESUS HAD TO DO SOMETHING BEFORE HE ANSWERED THE LEPER’S PRAYER. HE STOPPED HIM AND CORRECTED HIS PHILOSOPHY!

There are MANY CHRISTIANS TODAY WHO NEED CORRECTION IN THEIR BELIEFS! Many NEED TO HAVE THEIR “IF HE WILL” CHANGED TO, “HE WILL.” Praise the Lord, “HE WILLS TO HEAL ME!” When we change, WE WILL GET SOMETHING FROM GOD! Before the Leper obtained his healing HE GOT HIS “HE CAN” CHANGED TO, “HE WILL.” FRIEND, BEGIN TO SAY IT, “HE WILLS TO HEAL ME.”

WE SHOULD FIRST KNOW GOD’S WILL.

IT WOULD SAVE LOTS OF WASTED TIME AND PRAYER if we would first take time to settle it in our minds what His will is before we come for prayer. PEOPLE WANT TO BE submissive to God’s will. IF WE ARE SUBMISSIVE TO HIS WILL WHY NOT FIND OUT? FOR FAITH CAN ONLY BEGIN AT HIS KNOWN WILL. We get our faith from his word (Read Rom. 10:17.) SOME WELL MEANING PEOPLE PRAY LIKE THIS: “NOW LORD, WE WANT TO BOW TO YOUR WILL;” just like it is His will for us to get sick or die before our time. Let me make a long story short, PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!

WHEN THEIR BROTHER DIED, Martha and Mary came to meet Jesus with sorrowful hearts. LIKE MANY WELL MEANING FOLKS TODAY THEY BOTH SAID, “Lord, if you had been here my brother would not have died.” THEY HAD BEEN TAUGHT WRONG. JESUS CORRECTED THEM BY GIVING THEM ANOTHER IF; “If you will only believe YOU WILL SEE THE GLORY OF GOD. (John 11:40) It is ok for us to have an if, IF WE WILL LET THE LORD GIVE IT TO US INSTEAD OF ACCEPTING THE DEVIL’S “IF.” WE MUST SAY, “If only I WILL BELIEVE” INSTEAD OF SAYING, If the Lord would do so and so.” THE RESPONSIBILITY RESTS ON US INSTEAD OF THE LORD when we start to pray for the known will of God.

THESE PRAYERS, THE LEPER’S PRAYER, are the only prayers in the Bible prayed like this, THEY WERE BOTH CORRECTED BY THE LORD. We need to correct our “Ifs.” The Bible pattern is different to this. DAVID DIDN’T PRAY, “Lord heal me if it be thy will.” HE PRAYED IN FAITH. “ … OH LORD, HEAL ME; FOR MY BONES ARE VEXED.” Psalm 6:2. See, the proper prayer here is, A STRAIGHT FORWARD PRAYER. Then you will have a testimony like David. Then you will tell others, that the Lord will heal all their diseases. (Psalm 103:3)

WHEN WE PRAY, LET US LEAVE OUT THE “IF” IN OUR PETITIONS! “ … by whose stripes ye were healed.” (I Peter 2:24) (Isa 53:5). ‘FOR ALL THE PROMISES OF GOD IN HIM ARE YEA, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” (II Cor. 1:20.) “If” shows a doubt and ONLY THE DEVIL PUTS IT THERE.

JESUS DIDN’T SAY, “Lazarus come forth, if it be God’s will.” HE DIDN’T SAY, the days of miracles are past. I CAN’T GO TO THE HOSPITAL AND TELL PATIENTS, Jesus is not touched with the feelings of their infirmities, for HE IS TOUCHED by your sufferings. (Heb. 4:15) (Eccl. 7:17) ‘WHY SHOULDEST THOU DIE BEFORE THY TIME?”

READ HIS WILL!

WE SHOULD USE JESUS’ PATTERN FOR PRAYERS. Jesus taught His disciples to pray, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.” JESUS TAUGHT US TO PRAY “Thy will be done.”

IT YOUR RICH RELATIVE WERE TO DIE AND LEAVE YOU A WILL FOR ALL THEIR RICHES, to find out their will for you, YOU WOULD READ YOUR RELATIVE’S WILL; YOU WOULD NOT DOUBT IT, YOU WOULD PUT IN YOUR CLAIM FOR IT! You would not go around wondering what the will said!!!

JESUS IS OUR ELDER BROTHER. HE IS RICH! He left us a will and died, making His will valid! THE DEVIL WANTS TO STEAL YOUR INHERITANCE, by telling you it is “NOT” for now. REMEMBER THE “NOT” HE TOLD EVE IN THE GARDEN, YOU SHALL “NOT” SURELY DIE. No one can change their will after they die! ANYTHING WRITTEN LATER IS A FORGERY! Then why worry about His will. TESTAMENT MEANS A WILL. If your will says, He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, (Phil. 4:19) THAT IS HIS WILL.

DO YOU NEED HEALING? THAT IS HIS WILL ALSO! When we ask if healing is the will of God, we are asking if God is honest. BUT YOU ARE ASKING IF GOD IS HONEST WHEN YOU ASK IF HEALING IS HIS WILL. I ask you, is it God’s will to keep His word? (I John 5:10)

GOD HAD RATHER YOU WOULD DOUBT HIS POWER THAN TO DOUBT HIS LOVE. HIS VERY NATURE IS LOVE. WHEN YOU SAY HE IS ABLE, but you doubt Him being willing, YOU ARE DOUBTING HIS GREAT LOVE. YOU ARE DOUBTING HIS VERY NATURE. You are DOUBTING HIM BEING THE GREAT LOVING, MERCIFUL, AND COMPASSIONATE HEAVENLY FATHER WHO LIKE TO DO THINGS FOR HIS CHILDREN! We are the apple of God’s eye (John 14:15), “If you ask anything in my name I WILL DO IT.” PLEASE TURN AND READ, Psalm 34:10, “ … but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.”

LET THIS “THANKSGIVING” BE YOUR GREATEST by receiving your healing now! TODAY! THE NEXT FIVE MINUTES, you can get your healing. BELIEVE GOD NOW!

COME BELIEVING HE WILL, not able, HE WILL HEAL ME NOW! ASK A STRAIGHTFORWARD PRAYER, NAME THE SICKNESS, CURSE THE SPIRIT CAUSING YOUR SICKNESS, TO LEAVE. After you pray, DO NOT REASON WITH THE DEVIL ABOUT YOUR HEALING! He’s a liar. Let the next few days go by, Praising the Lord, and when the devil talks, YOU JUST SAY, I’M HEALED BY HIS STRIPES, “IT IS DONE.” Write me a letter with your testimony.
